Sorry about the lack of VW contents
My nephew has a home made kart with a near new Briggs and Straton engine. Was running fine for few weeks but now it starts OK when the lever is on Choke but will stall immediately if the lever is moved towards the Run position. It's a B&S Industrial Plus, 4 stroke engine
Any help is appreciated

sounds like fuel blockage has it got a filter if so replace it disconect the fuel line from the carby and blow back to see if you can hear the bubbles in the tank
or make surte that there is no shit in the float bowl
if there is no filter remove and clean carby

Ok will do, but it runs on Choke. So is what you suggested is still valid?
