Are u sure it's electrical ? is this the engine that filled with fuel?. Didn't you alter the fuel system. Could be the cause of the problem. :D

Have you done a valve set and checked the timing with a strobe? How is the fuel supply? Is it misfiring on only one cylinder, pull leads at >2500 to verify.Dwell OK? New components can be duds.

Checked the fuel pump.
Might not be delivering enough fuel at the higher revs.
Does it just feel flat after 2500 or start to miss and fart (techo terms).

miss and fart.....
Done the fuel thing...
Even changed carbs.....
No backfire.... just a miss and no more go...

I thought about the pump......
Its eletrik.... and when you change gears...
Wham! off you go again...
Seemed to me as if teh timin was retarded...
But its was set right.
i even advanced it to check.
I thought teh centrifical advance in the 009 had crapped itself...
changed dizzy....
still the same....
done the valve clearences after the rebuild.
all set...
just wont REV!

my 2054 did the same thing for some time, found out the fuel line was pinched and it cost me $1900 because i had leaned out the motor, check up at the front, if not that your tank could be blocked i'd say.
