are there meant to be little rubber grommet like things meant to be in-between the beam and the floorpan??? i know my kombi doesnt have them but my bros beetle has them??

The rubber grommets are only on a Type 3, not on a Beetle or Kombi.

thanks for that!! it looks like there is a 5mm gap between the front end and the floor pan without the grommet in there thats all is that right??? (the bolts are all tightened to 83 ft/lb)
