fuel leak

i have discovered a big fuel leak near the back of the left hand side of the engine, leaking down the engine support arm.

what would this be and what can i do about it? a hole in the fuel line?

get under and have a look for moisture, or alternatively a build up of dust on the leaking area where it's sticking to the leaking fuel................please don't drive your car until you find it.........yes sounds like fuel line.

easily, cheaply, quickly fixable, get it done..............or alternatively just have your whole car burn to the ground, your choice;)

Def a fuel line problem. Easy repair but can be costly if it ignites.

the fuel line comes thru the LHS of the engine tinware...

it used to be a pipe thru a rubber grommet
the rubber grommet wears away and then the pipe wears away and leaks fuel...

best to replace the fuel line from where it comes out of the chassis in front of the LHS rear axle..
to the fuel pump...

rubber hose is OK
I used stainless steel covered fuel hose ..

and make sure you carry a fire extinguisher in Your car...

You get buy good quality fuel hose at most auto shops..

that is a scary thought Damo! thanks for the heads up

il try and get under the car this afternoon and have a look.

is there a step by step procedure il need to follow coz im a bit cautious and unsure???
