Faulty Fuel Gauge
fulltank - June 6th, 2003 at 10:35 PM

Hey Folks.... I recently purchased a kombi after much searching and am, after the first month of driving, still rather excited. I was hoping someone may be able to help me with reconnecting the fuel gauge. The gauge is in an area containing warning lights (high beam, battery etc) which are working fine except there is no visible "line" or indicator of fuel levels. Any suggestions?

Its proberly broken. Kombis are prone to that for some strange reason.

I take it you havea bay window Kombi

there was a post in here some where that had a great idea for replacing the sender unit by drill an inspection hole in rear cargo area.

this saved engine removal

more than likely its the gauge broken have alook at the backside of it and see if all the wires are in place.
