NCH-003 - October 25th, 2008 at 07:40 PM

This might a Stupid question but i have a twincab and it has reduction hubs fitted in doing this the previous owner has turned the gearbox upside down.
My question is will the the gear change pattern be the same as right way up or will it be reversed??

Wow.. thats the strangest thing I've ever heard...

any pics??

what model dual cab??

Early models did have reduction gearboxes...

but later models did NOT...

and many are removed anyway

so, its very strange???

It is a 76 bay window.Apparently the gearbox was turned over to get reduction hubs to work properly.

taking a stab in the dark here but im pretty sure reduction hubs spin the opposite way which would be why someone has flipped the gearbox over

in bugs and early kombis u can just flip the R&P gear over to make them spin backwards but apperently this cant be done with later bay boxes
but i wouldnt think that being upside down would affect the pattern
cos its still just the rod movign back to front and clockwise/anticlockwise, i wouldnt think that is gonna change by rolling the box over
