Looking at dropping the slightly wounded gearbox out of our '61 Beetle and having it freshened up to suit rebuilt 1600 twin port donk (read 1776 or 1835), any suggestions on where to go and how much $$ i'd be looking at parting with for a mild rebuild, needs are really only daily driver with possibility of the odd hillclimb. Cheers...would consider travelling a couple of hours for the right price and gearbox Maestro

Second Brennden's suggestion of Dangerous Dave. There's tons of info in the Drag Racing section on boxes he's built up - he'll build a box to intended usage.
