Can anyone shed some light / experience on the best way to prep / remove this rust. After moveing the glued carpet this is what i found
I also have a few small holes less then a 5 cent piece in the drivers side floor pan and im going to give belzona a go to fix that up
Yuck.. all the rust is going to have to be cut out and new rust free steel welded in
Vacuum all the loose crap up, then use rust converter but that almost looks like a channel replacement is needed.
Once you have rust converted it then you should just put some red oxide on it and she should be good.
heater channel replacement, it looks like its gone further back too. good luck
Thanks Guys
Just dont forget that this part of the car is pretty much a major part, its what gives rigidity to the shell, it is also the part that really holds the body to the floor pan.
Thanks , i guess now i continue to strip everything out and then remove the body from the floor pan and fix this heater channel , will keep posting update pics at stages of the repair
