with a single port manifold, does the end slide inside the head and then the clamp locks it down in place? or does the end sit on top of the head as a
flush mating surface?
does that make sense?
theres a small mount of welding slag on my new manifold one one of the end peices where it mates to the head, its been there since before the manifold
was chromes which is funny but im wondering if i will need to make the ends perfect? which might be difficult.

the 1500 inlet mainfolds have sliding clamps and the pipe sits on a slight angle on the head theres a cruch copper gasket under the mainifold
and to the head
it must be flat to this surface so all welding slag should be removed other wise it may not seal right

from the photos in the gallery u can see what im looking at.
ive cleaned the end up so that its a level ring for the gasget to mate to, have i got the right gasget? or is the gasget supposed to fit in the
stepped down section? anf if so i will have to carve out a bit more of the dodgy port.
the ring gasket has to fit in the inlet hole groove but remove the old one first other wise it wont seal
