I just removed my auto trans from my watercooled caravelle 86 but doesnt have cooling lines. This model should have them, so im wondering if it is from a earlier model. The number on it is 010 321 105.....

I'm not sure if vw continued using this diff/bellhousing case after 79, pretty sure the 010 (auto section) would be the same as your 86 modle. These 010 autos were used in alot of different cars, kombi, audi 100, 200, passat, eirly porsche. There is no problem with not using an oil cooler with this box. I've made 198hp with one of these. If theres noting wrong with it use it, or sell it to me Aaron.
