spark plug thread gone

just finished rebuilding the engine today and went to put in the new spark plugs and got to the fourth one and found the thread is nearly gone (inside head). so i pulled it down, took the head off to helicoil the thread....

my helicoil kit doesn't have a suitable one in it...

does anyone know the size helicoil i need to do the job???

its a super 1600tp

I believe most VW shops will have the helicoil You need...
best to coat threads of spark plugs with anti seize..
I've never had any problems as I do that with all allloy heads..

There are a number of recoil kits available,one of these taps and screws an insert straight into the stripped hole.

Time Serts are better than Helicoils if you can get them
