On a '64 bug will a 165 R15 tyre fit into the front wheel cavity?

I was told it would not, and I wanted to double check before fitting up new tyres.

Fits on my stock height '61 beetle, should be the same on a stock '64.

I'm running Federal brand 165/80 R15.
