hehehe
when i picked up my fasty it only had rims on the back
so the bloke gave me some 205 and i went to the tyre shop and he put the on stock rims
one got a bit low on air and the tyre roll was unreal!!!!!!!!!!
im running 185/195 on my bug but they are wide rims
you might get away with it

there fine on the later 4.5" beetle rims but not the earlier 4"
i ran 185/60s on the front of my bug on stock 4.5 and they fitted nice and rode/cornered well but a freinds 63 beetle has that same size on stock 4" wide 5 rims and they;re ballooned out quite badly
just lucky she;s not a revhead

some idiot has fitted 195/60s onto sonics stock 4" rims and it was so vague feeling in corners
guess which bug is now sitting down in the paddock with a big tree impression in the side.....

im planning on putting some 185/55's on 4.5 and 195/60s on 5.5 Brm's soon.

I think they should fit, but will let you know when i get them on...:smirk:

sweet. Will give it a go. Yeah the beetle that I saw must of had 4" rims with 185's on them as they also were ballooning very badly.

Continental Tyres make a 175/65 tyre.
It would be a great fit on 4.5 inch rim.

I'm currently running 175/65 on my late type 3 and they are great. They came of the new mini.
