Which NOS System.
VWFREAK - June 27th, 2009 at 04:15 PM

Fellow rev heads,

I'm after a little advice with which NOS system ? I'm currently using a 500 Turbo Prepped Holley 2 Barrel Carby with a Garret T3/T4 Hybrid Turbo (draw through system) , but I can't decide where to inject the NOS ? (50-75 shot)

Should I use a Holley injection plate?

Or

Straight into the manifold ends into the heads ?

Any one had previous experiences with this ? Good and Bad Points ?

Any advice is appreciated.

Whats the purpose of the NOS VW Freak? If you're using it as an intercooler in a bottle and to spool quicker then the best place for it is pre-turbo in the carb manifold, which is cool cos it means you only need a single injector system. I have an NX kit with a twisted sanity controller that I am yet to fit to my 54 to do just that - intention is to improve 60ft times by reducing the spool up and improve overall power by reducing the temp of the charge - NOS out of the nozzle is at a ridiculously low temperature. I don't intend running lots of NOS on boost though, I'm planning to set it up so that the NOS cuts out when bost reaches a set level (to be determined by test & tune).

I haven't experience of a full on system for on boost applications though as I've not looked into that at all.

You should have a lot of fun with that!

If its for cooling use water/meth set up instead !

water/meth isn't injected at -129 deg F bug_racer!
