I converted over to semi sealed beams on my L bug and just removed the light from the old chrome ring. But these are old and starting to rust. I have seen on bay kombi's that the ring is th same size and doesn't have the adjustment screws. WIll it fit my L bug?

Hard to say without actually trying. I attempted to fit rings from a 76 kombi to my 68 bug, but they didn't fit. They did fit Steve's 74 (?) Vert though. Best way is to try them and see. Sorry I can't be more help.
