alternative inner rear bearing seal?

i'm swapping my rear wheel bearings over at the mo and the local shop has given me an inner bear with an integral dust seal rather than a seperate
seal to use on the inside against the CV flange. Has anyone used one of these?
my concern with it is whether the seal will keep out mud and also how I will go about hosing out the mud that will no doubt collect in there.
should I use the normal inner seal as well?

YES....you still use the original seal.
Everything is still done exactly the same (grease etc), its just that you have a sealed bearing for added protection.

I would take the seal off and grease the bearing as most sealed bearings I've seen have very little grease in them..
I've even popped off the seal, filled with lithium based MOLY grease and put the seal back on...
I would still use a normal seal too....
