HUh?! What bolts to hold type 3 rear hubs to drums? wat size? :)
bajachris88 - August 11th, 2009 at 07:49 PM

Been meaning to get this off my chest. just finishin the fitting of the reconditioned type 3 rear drum brakes, to notice the hubs have 2 threaded holes in each for bolts to mount them to the outside drum (I'm assuming, as there are 2 holes in the drum itself for the theads).

I have gone through every bolt i could find in my toolbox collection but each have not wanted to mesh into the hub. does anyone know what bolts go into there? or if not, do you have any spare?

I got a few nut and bolt shops around here, but i don't konw what guage, what thread, and as to whether its imperical or metric....

regards,
Christopher.

You don't really need them, once the wheels are on they can't move.

They were fowling on the wheels I run on my car so I just left them out, and they've been that way for about 7 years.

ive got a few lying around ill look tomorrow but theyre a pretty corse thread

i rounded out the heads of them in my rear discs and dont run them either
they only stop the discs/drums from falling on your foot when you take the wheel off
