Line Boring
lugnuts - June 26th, 2003 at 02:53 AM

Hiya, anybody know how many times you can linebore a T1 case and the last size especially,i just measured mine at 66.5mm,oh and only tell me if its good news:D

I "thought" they were suppose to stamp what size they bore to on the inside??

I have heard of people boring to 60 thou (1 1/2mm :o ) but if it is for a hottie i wouldnt go past 10 thou.

No expert but i would be more worried about the thrust cut on the face. I think there is more hammering there from the back and forth rather than the flexing/harmonic of the crank

there are only 4 oversize back bearings available

true - 10,20,30 and 40 thou.

I have "heard" a few of the GEX's and the like use to 60 thou - dont know where they get bearings from

Ok,this is on one of the bearings 2931 AIO72+1,50-STD on the outside and Fm L on the inside, this bearing is the big one on the end. This one is the little one on the other end of crank 2933 AT+1,50-STD BRAZIL.So sounds like this case is know a large doorstop, might get it ceramic coated as an experiment:D.

if ur going for a hottie just get a good std/std used one, or a new case. its better in the long run i reckon
