i want to drop the arse of my 1960 bug
what is the spline to measurement ratio??
e.g 1 spline =1 inch
any links to info would help
thanks
matt
there are two sets of splines...
inner and outer...
one larger and one smaller in teeth
so You can go up two large splines and down 3 small splines..
this is an example only as I've never ever done the lowering Myself...
I have seen it written somewhere....
I'll check out some of My VW manuals...
cheers
LEE
thanks mate, i have never done it either hence why i am asking.
any info would be great
matt
one spline on the inner end makes 9 degrees change.
one spline on the outer end in opposite direction makes 8 deg.10' that means, you can work with the increments of 0 deg.50'... going up or down is
given by rotational direction of inner end..
In a recent post there was a chart with spline/mm's of difference in height.
thanks grumble, any chance of a link?
