valve floating

im all new to racing vw's and would like to know how to tell when my valves are floating.. can you hear it or can you fell them floating.... im assuming its not a good thing and what sought of damage can i do to my engine....

u two guys need to put on some gloves and settle it out!!!

craig, my engines built by rodney and hauls ass...very happy. and have had lots of comments on how smooth it drives . and acts totaly different when i put my foot down.. still havent had it dyno tuned as yet.. still yet to put 1.4 rockers on it with the k8 cam.and bump up the comp....

im not realy sure if its something wrong or im reving it to much.... how do i tell if i have a problem????

im not sure of spring pressures etc.....

do you have a Tacho ?

surely do.... im thinking maybee 7100-7300rpm itl do it, so im supposing its my foot that wont get off the peddle and my left hand thats to lazy to shift.lol.....

when i put the 1.4 rockers should rev more, i hope....
