Welding a horn ring

I think it is cast iron so not sure how to repair it. See pic below, its broken in two places. I was told that brazing rods could be used to repair it. I never used brazing rods before, can I use them with a butane gas torch or is it not hot enough?

If it is cast iron you could bronze weld it using tobin bronze rod, with cast-iron flux, although you will need an oxy-acetylene torch. Vee out each join first with a file - not grinder - and weld one side at a time. Don't rush it. Good luck!
