I have a T3.

The horn goes off when I turn the steering wheel to the 11 o'clock position.

Wots up?

Pretty sure early bugs have a wire that runs the lenght of the steering tube that is eathed when the horn button is pressed.
That wire will be worn and earthing when at 11 o'clock

Pretty sure it is a bugger to replace. Might be easier to put a horn button on the dash? :(

Check the wire that is on the steering coupling underneath the fuel tank, if this is broken it could earth out and make the horn go off when it contacts the body.
