Brake Probs

I have on the front a set of John Sherman Disc Brake Conversion, on my K$L pin front.

Every now and then, when driving the brakes clamp on, and wont release. the hubs are very hot, but when left too cool, the release.

the master cylinder was reconditioned

Wot could be causing this

Have you replaced the 4 rubber brake flexable lines.

These deteriate from the inside out and rubber breaks off inside the line allowing you to apply brake pressure to the brake cylinder but NOT release pressure therefore causingt he brakes to lock on all the time.

replace both front and rea brake flex lines with new GERMAN ones not shit brazilian and re bleed the brakes.

Please advise if you still have the single circuit master cylinder fitted or if you have changed to a later dual circuit type, as there could also be another problem.

Hi

Make sure you have enough free play in the pedal.

If it is a dual circuit master cylinder, it could be the residual pressure valve! A wise old brake man advised me to remove it, "as it turned out I didn't" and my brake conversion did the same thing at times.
