Shifter comparison

Hi all,

Thinking of getting my wife to get me a new shifter for my birthday in a few weeks and wanted to get a few opinions on wich one would be best for my application.
my options are probably

Empi T-shifter...
Scat T-shifter...

Is there any others that you would reccomend over these, in this price range?

I know i can get one from the states for about 100 bucks inc delivery but what are they worth here to buy? i know mick motors has them.

Wondering what size 10 or 12" angled or not?

It will be in a low budget Drag beetle. 1970 model.

Thanks alot.
Mick.

I've got the empi T shifter in my manx, only problem I have with it is the grub screw that holds the T on comes loose every now & then. But shift wise it is fine.
If its a 70 model I'd get the straight one. pretty sure the bent one is meant for the early beetle because the gearshift position is about 3 inches further forward on the tunnel.

Ok cool, I wouldn't really have to worry about the grub scew issue as i'll probaby only drive it a few times a year... Warwick, maybe a test and tune every now and then at this stage. Thought that might be the case with the angled thing. It does give you a shorter shift right? its not just a fancy lookin gearstick? If you don't mind me asking, do you remember how much you paid for it and where you got it from? I think mick motors only has the bent ones but i could be wrong?
