Timing for 009
karmannghia60 - July 4th, 2003 at 09:14 AM

I have a SP 1500 with 30PICT carby & a 009. The crank has only two marks on it, TDC and another one. I timed it on the weekend to the mark but seem sluggish under full throttle specially up hill. I am wondering if I need to time it differenetly for a 009. Any advice?

"Normally" 10 degree-ish static. This equates to 30-ish max.

You have just changed??
You blocked all your vacuum holes off??
Gap is good??

Holes are plugged.
Gap is OK but points are not new. Bought some this morning and will replace the old one on the weekend
So was my type of pully (ie only one mark apart from TDC) what is the mark at, 10deg BTDC?
