Is there a maximum height that i cant munt spotlights above?
I know that they have to have their own switch but what about the height, i was thinking of mounting two on a set of roofracks on my daily.
Cheers JOsh
In NSW they have to be no higher than the centre of the main headlights. I know as I was knocked back one year by the RTA as I had mine mounted on
the top bar of the bull bar. I don't know how the utes and other vehicles get away with them mounted on the roof rack. Maybe it is luck but
theoretically if Mr Plod wanted he could defect the vehicle until they were positioned no higher than the centre line of the headlights.

Depends on how they are switched, I had them on the roof of a twin cab but disconected the wires so that they wouldn't operate at all, then when I
wanted them (club rallys) I just reconected the wires, never got knocked back for rego and only got pulled over once the cop just said "on ya way
mate"
Hi
Its a shame that law applies in NSW (not sure about other states), the lights are so much more effective mounted higher on the vehicle, they get right
into dips in the road where as mounting them low causes shadows.
