hey all, i'm trying to put my mags ontop my t3 and i'm having difficulty. i was told to use combi studs and i'm not sure what i'm actually meant to do with them, can someone fill me ni please
c'mon someone has to know!! i'm hoping to hacve them on tonight..
Tell us more about your problem
i've got kombi nuts and bolts and a t3 rear drum, what do i do to get them fitted properly
Pull the hubs off the car.
Measure the size of the kombi stud, the splined bit. Drill the threads out of the hubs with a slightly smaller drill. A reamer would be nice here.
then whack the studs in with hammer or a press if you're lucky enough to have one.. You might have to do a little filing of the hole.
the stud. put the stud through the hole. But dont make the hole too big else the stud will turn when you try and put the wheel on.
please excuse my lack of tech knowledge but i'm assuming the spline is on wider circle part on the end of the stud...
yep. thats it.
and that's secure enough to hold the wheel on, you sure?
Thats the only thing that holds a kombi wheel on.
cool, thanks mate
If you're not sure, maybe you should wait till Valla and I will pull a wheel off and show you.
i've got a rooted rear axle at hoime with the drum on it so if i try it on that and it doesn't go to good i'll leave it to safer hands
You can do it mate!

Good idea with the spare!
But remember when you remove the stud again..
put the nut on it so you dont Bur the thread!
