Hi Guys
Im assembling the pedals and having a little issue.
The main shaft goes all the way through the tunnel and the brake and clutch slip over the mainshaft and the accelerator slips up the middle.
Questions
When I slip the clutch pedal onto the clutch cable, the return spring down at the throwout end pulls the clutch pedal away from where it should sit.
what puts the clutch pedal back to its natural position. Does it link to the brake return spring.
The brake return spring, one end clips onto the pedal, does the other end just sit on the floor, or does it somehow sit onto the clutch pedal.
I have a manual but of course the pics are so unclear and of course they are different.
Its a 73 standard beetle.
Thanks Trevor
Hmmm
Maybe I have it now, the pedals have a little notch of flat on both, is this meant to hit against a plate bolted to the floor that then limits their
travel?
yes that is correct, make sure the brake return spring is all the way round when you bolt it up, if you clutch cable is connected at the box its easier to assemble not connected, just make sure the hook end doesnt come off when installing
Done it, thanks
