Dellorto CB Update kit
Bizarre - July 6th, 2010 at 10:12 PM

Any one used these kits??

There appears to be 2 parts to the story

Changing the venturi and spray bar set up

and plugging the idle air hole and replacing the idle jet holder with an extended holder with a hole in the top.

On 40's you up the 140 main to 150's and the 180 airs to 170's
Guessing idles stay the same

I guess my concern is - if i change over and for some reason it becomes a pig to jet and i go back - I am stuck with the blocked idle air inlet
Is this what causes the increased air flow?? or is it the increased venturi size??

Can you go back?? but still have the extended idle jet??

My car seems to be jetted perfectly at the moment and i dont want to ruin the jetting

Well - finally put the update kit in

Did both changes - blocking the idle air inlet and the venturi upgrade

MUCH more top end in it
Pulls stronger
If I cared I would say it has added a couple of ponies

Still have the same idles but seems to run a bit richer
Had to restet the mixtures from 3 - 3.5 turns down to 2 turns

I have 65's in there at the moment - might try going back to 60's but would need to be at about 4 - 4.5 turns

Whatever - there is a difference.
Happy I have gone there :tu:
