with the lid ON>>???

fumes from the crankcase go out the bottom of the oil filler
and out the bottom of the hose or pipe under the engine...

If You have too much oil in the engine..
it will come out of everywhere it can....

My breather hose drips most of the time....

Some possibilities:
1. Too much oil in crankcase?
2. Blocked breather pipe, or return tube?
3. Too-thin oil (wrong grade; petrol-dilution), or overheating making it very "thin"?
4. Revving too high? (Or continuous high revs.).
5. Worn engine (comp. rings worn or broken)?
6. Use or over-use of certain oil additives (>foaming).
7. Incorrect positioning of the little aluminium plate under the generator stand.
8. Crack or hole in piston?
9. etc.
