Hi, does anyone have a cut away pic or diagram of a stock 1600 beetle muffler (1971). I'm trying to work out where I can mount an o2 sensor in one.

just use a replacement (custom) "pee shooter" pipe with a bung welded into it..............unless you're wanting it wired up all the time ?

Rumor has it original german ones have equal length runners from # 2 and 4 inside like this type3 one



But the German Ernst one i cut up was like this one inside
Think that one was a kadron or bosal.

Yeah, its going to be permanantly fitted for the efi. Im thinking of biting the bullet and buying one of those vintage speed systems, just had a poke around my muffler and its getting pretty thin in places.
