berg style midmount question

Do you put the midmount directly against the gearbox casing or against the lower nuts with another set of nuts?

If you mount it directly against the casing won't it inrease your chances of oil leaks? I am aware of the need to fit longer studs.

Bizzare are those studs which fit the cradle flush against the gearbox casing?

They look like cap head allen bolts.

Yes - we took the studs out and replaced them with allen bolts

Just put some Leak-loc on the threads, I did this with my 70 bug, it has the same setup
