berg style midmount question
funbug - August 3rd, 2010 at 08:18 PM

Do you put the midmount directly against the gearbox casing or against the lower nuts with another set of nuts?

done it both ways.......you will need longer studs

If you mount it directly against the casing won't it inrease your chances of oil leaks? I am aware of the need to fit longer studs.

Bizarre

Does this sit further forward on the gear box than the Berg mount?

Cheers

Bizzare are those studs which fit the cradle flush against the gearbox casing?

Euro_67 - August 4th, 2010 at 08:06 PM

They look like cap head allen bolts.

Yes - we took the studs out and replaced them with allen bolts

Do you have any problems with oil leaks?

Just put some Leak-loc on the threads, I did this with my 70 bug, it has the same setup
