I need a new exhaust for my 1300SP '67 beetle. No heater boxes required.
These 'Euro' style GT exhausts with the two tips seem OK, some are in SS. I'd like to know how loud they are. I know they'll be louder than
stock which is fine. Just want to make sure I don't wake up the whole street in the mornings.
Any comments from someone who's tried them out?
I had this one
they are a little deeper than stock
Nothing dramatic
Classic also has the Tri-Mill
They talk about the Tri-Mill here

Thanks for that - did you get yours from Classic?
in directly though V Force
I had the same exhaust as Bizzare for years mine was EMPI though, which meant it didn't last long and had poor pre-heating (was living in Armidale)
so I swapped back to stock, but now have a extractor which is US made.
They are a good system, again becasue mine was cheaper it didn't come out extactly straight from the pipes so I had some black carbon on my
bumpers.
The sound is good from them, it makes it sound really wasp like and isn't much worse at high speed than a stock system.
Thanks for the feedback, I think I'll try one of these out.
My only other advice is if you have access is to put some flanges on
You need steel on the heater box side and stainless (is you get the stainless exhaust)
Finding a staino welder can be a pain
Most exhaust places send the staino jobs out
Luckily i know a a sheetmetal shop that talks beer talk
The standad clamp just refused to "bite" on the drivers side
Made for a smelly heater
Good to know!
I'm an engineer on a chemical plant - we have pipe welders who do zirconium and titanium welds, so stainless steel is a walk in the park by
comparison.
