Was talking to troy at Eastern Creek this weekend about the scrutineering for the day, he said they really harped on about double return springs.

What are people running?

I have a spring that is on the engine lid side of the throttle cable but though i'd run the standard type return in between the carb and fanhousing, are these still available?

The car is 1300, with single 30pict, but will be upgraded to twin carbs soon, so what do people do for twin carbs?

Yeah - pretty common thing for scruits to check.

Dunno of anyone running a Volksy with a single carb other than you Shaun... with twin Webers, Kads etc. you end up with a spring at each carb, either running up to around the air cleaner, or maybe down/out to the inner guard.

For your setup tho... why not just run a second and looser spring beside the stocko 30 PICT one ??? CAMS rules says you have to have two springs... doesn't say they have to be connected at separate places.

Schedule B, point 7.............just needs to comply with that.

The problem you will have with the OEM spring setup is if you snap a cable at the carby end then its possible for the spring to fail in returning the throttle to a closed position. It would be best to have the spring on the shaft/arm and then onto the carby body as well.
