Has anyone seen an electric motor conversion for VW's. I vaguely remember reading about one some time back in Hot VW'sand Dune Buggies

the guy down my street runs a electric fasty, he has had since before i was around (70's) but he is a wan#$%. so i don't talk to him. It aint much good on the highway, but its a really good town car i heard.
