Type 3 torsion bars in Beetle

G'day Guys and Gals

Just wanted to get some opinions on putting Type 3 Torsion Bars in my beetle.

Basically have my bare pan all revamped and am ready to start bolting stuff back on.

My car is going to be a real weekend warrior so I want it to handle well and am not worried if the ride is a little rough.

I've heard putting Type 3 Torsion bars in the rear helps stiffen up the suspension and can help the car handle better...

Thoughts on this???????

My car is a 58 but has been converted to IRS, do I need to get any special year Type 3 for its torsion bars??

Cheers

Brad

this subject has been talked about before do a search and you find the articles

Yes the type 3 bar is larger in diameter so it will make handling better.
