Does anyone know of a good website with more info than you get with a rebuild kit, ie a poorly photocopied picture. :bounce
try http://www.type2.com (I haven't looked but they've got quite a few step by steps)
If you can get hold of the Bentley workshop manual, it has a section on the PDSIT carby. I'd offer to scan it for you, but I'm flat out at
the moment, sorry.
The Australian Gregory's manual is pretty detailed. It is a white manual with a blue Kombi on the cover.
Try your local library - go to 629.1 in the Dewey system and look for Volkswagen manuals. They are usually gathered in alphabetic order. If they
don't have the Gregory's manual, they may have the Bentley, Haynes or InterEurope manual instead.
The Gregory's is an easy to read manual, but I found that it didn't have the info I needed on this carby when I was having trouble with
mine.
The Bentley has more detailed info for this carby. :thumb
(Gee, I hope Ben Durie doesn't read this!
)
I've always liked the Gregory's manual myself. I use a UBD street directory!
When I rebuilt my Kombi's carbs, I used a combination of the photocopied sheet that comes with the rebuild kits, and the Gregory's manual.
Between the two of them I got everything right. I prefer to keep my Bentley's away from the garage...it was too expensive to get greasy
fingermarks on. I read that one in the house before I head down to the garage.
Or borrow it from the library, and put greasy fingermarks on THEIR copy...
http://www.motortraders.net will find one for you even if they dont stock it.
