34 Pict 4 carby leaking fuel
super72beetle - October 23rd, 2010 at 09:53 PM

Hi guys.
I recently bought a second hand 34 pict 4 carby as my 34/3 was leaking air in through the throttle arm.
I cleaned out the 34/4 and popped it on today only to find that fuel is leaking out of the accelerator brass pipe (with the engine off!) Any ideas what this could be?
My feeling would be that the float might need to be adjusted.

I'm struggling to find much info on the 34/4 on this site and the Samba. Also, if anyone has experience with these carby's can they tell me if I can just plug the two extra vacuum ports.

Thanks.
I'm putting this on a stock 1600dp.

Hey Greedy.
Turned out to be a wrong needle and seat.

I've plugged both vacuum ports and it runs like a dream.
Thanks for the advice.
Simon:)
