I have got a buggy that I want to remove the drums and service the brakes and replace pads. I cant seem to remove the lock nut - i assume this is the correct nut to remove?


any tips?

Left hand thread!

left hand thread on passenger side only

If you run a speedo, be sure to seal the cable on both the stub and grease cap sides with good quality silicon
This will prevent water from getting into the bearings.

I tried forever today! and then i eventually found it, thanks heaps - who woulda thought! left hand

If you ever buy yourself an early valiant they have left hand thread wheel nuts on the left side!

just inspect the spindle threads to be sure they have not been damaged during your attempts
