16" Steel Wheels
Smiley - January 17th, 2011 at 08:56 PM
Hey everyone.
I was wondering if anyone knows what cars have 16" steel wheels that are either 5 or 5.5" wide. Maybe 6" at the most. Looking to make a new set of
front rims for mine cause I've found some tyres that I absolutely love. But they only come in a 16"
Was thinking maybe a Suzuki Jimney? or a Rav 4 or something maybe?
Let me know if you know of any.

what do you want the wheels to fit? if its something you are having made then white 8 spokes (sunraiser?) will do, plenty in wreckers and wheel
shops.

They'll be wide 5. I just want them as narrow as possible, ie 5".
Which rules out a lot of the 6" wide 4WD rims.

if your really keen and have wheel centres I think that you can buy 16 inch rims that fit 15 inch centres and then you could get a variety of width
and offset choices

That's probably a little too tall. The ones I have my eye on are 29" tall and I think I'm going to have issues with rubbing running them.

More information in general please? I'd really like to alter a set of MB Vito wheels I have so I can use them on my bay. As a lot of people know the
offset is totally wrong so they need new rims. I have no idea where to start looking.

As an addition I found out there is a wheel works where I used to live. At least it's only an hour away still. Am planning on having a chat to them
to see what they have to say.

Thanks man.
I'll have too look into them. They might be a little too narrow. As the tyre manufacturer recommends 5-7" wide.
I might just have to settle for some 16x6s
