Removing Motor
smithy68 - February 20th, 2011 at 08:07 PM

I removed the 1300cc motor from my 67 today, I for the life of me could not get it out without removing the muffler, I am sure it should come out with the muffler on.
It just kept fowling on the front of the engine bay, my question is should it need to come off?

normally I would think it should be on

can only assume your rear apron is bent

Most of these litttle buggers have had a smack in the bum at some stage of their life and panelshop/repairers are not always to worried about original shapes,as long as the engine lid shuts it's OK.

its a standard exhaust, and the rear apron is not bent.
