Snaggered Rear Torsion Tube
Newt - March 6th, 2011 at 09:27 PM

Hi Guys,

Came accross a floor pan the other day that had a snaggered torsion tube on one side.

Is this something that can be replaced.

Came off a Beetle.

Snaggered????

If you mean rooted, shagged, fu@ked or just generally buggered, I reckon most will say forget it, but I reckon it's doable, and probably less work than doing pan 1/2's. Depending on what your building, cut both sides and narrow the sucker for some big rubber to hang onto all the power your putting in the back .... you know you want to :) .

Snagered means some one tried to straighten it with an oxy and ended up shrinking....

Matt, youve given me something to ponder. Do you sleave the join?

Cheers Guys

Definately, internal sleeve required.

Guys

If I were looking for a left hand rear torsion tube (for a 1962 pan), would that be a bit that some one might have cluttering there shed?

Cheers
