Plug in Case

I had a spare 1600 TP stripped down to a long block on the weekend. Was giving it a wash and I noticed a plug in the LHS of the case above the oil
pump. Does this mean that the engine is tapped for full flow oiling?
Just wondering.

Yup, was probably out of manual car originally then blocked off to fit the semi-auto oil pump.
Starting a collection of white VN dunnydoors?

I fitted the semiauto stuff to it. Engine has been in my '68 semiauto. But I'd never really had a good look at it back when I was that much of a
noob.
That's good to know. So how hard is it now to fit a cooler and/or filter?
And the Commodores are my parents, mum's SS and dad's VG.

Twas joke.
It was probably fitted with an external oil cooler or filter back in the day.
