I have a 1972 Superbug and have been told by 3 different people, 3 different types of petrol to use ... Lead Replacement, Unleaded and Premium Unleaded ... can someone please clarify this for me .. ??

UNLEADED

All VW's since 1967 have hardened valve seats and do not need lubrication

Premium is only needed if your compression ratio is above say 8:1

Stock was 7:1 or there abouts.

Lead Replacement is for cars with cast iron heads.
