pulled apart a German solex 34 pict 3 carb as the throttle shaft was quite sloppy. Found that there were hard nylon style bushings already installed
on both sides. The body bores didnt look like they had been machined, rather they looked like they were cast to take the bushings.
Q - is this a stock set-up?
Q - Can I get replacement bushes?
Any other advice to fix it, and please consider that I dont have several VW specialists or carb specialists 'just down the road'.. cos I dont.
I have heard of people [fitters or engineers] making their own bushes.,
I doubt if anyone keeps new bushes...

a couple years ago I saw a site in the UK which sold custom bushes, I will try and find it, Maybe Machine 7 but not sure. I was looking for some too but did a temporary fix by fitting "O" rings both sides with grease and they are still there and idling is still fine. You might be lucky by checking hobby/craft shops for the small brass tubing they sell might strike a close fit

The 'O' ring fix sounds do-able normally but the reason I pulled it apart was because of excessive radial play and I think the 'O' rings wont last
long if they have to take up all the slop.
Thats stock for pict3 carbs.
Usually they shrink as they wear and sit in there pretty loosely.
they were in a few of the early kits that I used in the past,but I haven't seen them for quite a while.
