Hi, i'm looking at buying a VW Beetle S model. The car is listed as 1961 but thinking it newer as it has 4 lug bolt pattern. Havent got a photo yet if it is a B/J or L/P front end.

Can anyone please provide information on the S beetle please I cant find anyhting on google.

Macpherson strut front end with disc brakes on the struts as well with the spare tyre laying flat under the longer bonnet. They still have the flat (ish) windscreen also.

1/71 to 3/73 in Aus.

But make sure it is actually an Sbug with flat windscreen and strut front end.

I've had a VW owner argue with me their car was an Sbug just cos the decklid said so even though it predated Sbug production by several years
