6 inch round headlights, where from?
bajachris88 - June 3rd, 2011 at 10:28 AM
Hi,
my bug eyed kit isn't like the common one, the headlight positions are a little further away such that it is compliant to headlight requirements.
However, this is at the cost of smaller headlights
i had Kotto 2X1C sealed
beam headlights, and they were only 6 inch in diameter.
Does anyone know what cars had these stock? i was under the impression that they were morris minor lights, but they are all 7 inch, and 6 inch seem
rare as wikipedia stated that 7 inch was the minimum legal size for the states.
Anyone have any information on where i can get these? Even the chrome headlight surrounds/mounts? the holes for the headlights them selves in the nose
cone isn't even 7 inches wide, and cutting and glassing the holes to fit 7 inches would be a pita
.
thanks,
Chris.

Volvo used 8 inch round Hella headlamps and they would probably be easier to find than 6 inch ones..
the late 40's Lowlight early Morris Minors had small headlamps in the grill which are illegal..

Gidday Chris. Motorbike headlights should be a good option. I have 7" lights and went motorbikes but many bikes had smaller lights than these.
