Hi all im building a 1641. The bottom end is already put together. Its got a counter W Crank, matched connrods and a Scatt C25 Cam im just wondering
if i should put some new up rated springs on the valves or leave as standard. Also what would make a good combo for the rockers, ie 1.25 or just
leave as standard. It will also have some mild ported twin port heads.
thanks for reading hope you can help

That should rev significantly higher than stock, assuming you're putting some decent carbies on, so I'd go with some uprated single springs and
retainers and bolt up rocker shafts.
Personally I'd stick with standard rockers too.
Me too, HD single springs, a pair of carbs and good rocker swivel feet adjusters and shimmed with a HD rocker shaft kit with stock ratio rockers. My 2c
I have a counter crank, mild cam and lighternd flywheel....ive got stock springs and rockers as i was told thay would be sufficent and reliable...itl rev to 5000rpm and higher with no probs..doesnt seem to have any noises....
No noises, but will it see 100 000km reliably?
The heavier springs are because the engine can accelerate quicker, has a higher rate of change.
Il let you know in 10 years......
Thanks for the advice. Think i will go standard for he time being then upgrade soonish when the funds become available.
Thanks again
