I was adjusting the direction of my headlights and spotlights last night, using rags to cover the lights and shine one at a time on my garage door.
Anyway, I noticed that the pattern for the dipped headlights looked odd. Sitting in the drivers seat and looking forward at the pattern of both dipped
lights on the garage door, I could see a pattern that looked like the diagram shown below. The sloping-up bits are to the right, but I expected them
to be on the left. Should they be the other way around? It's as if I've got headlights for a country that drives on the right.

Both my Kombi and my bike have the high side on the left!
Rob........
Yes, they should dip to the left not into the oncoming drivers eyes.
Maybe the lights are from a LHD Vehicle.
Some lenses have arrows showing the dipped side... and Ours should dip to the Left. USA made sealed beam headlamps do not dip as severely as
European-Japan-Aust made Headlamps. You can usually tell USA made sealed beam headlamps by the 3 protruding lugs on the lense, and not much of a dip
pattern on the glass at all. But it does sound like You have European type LHD headlamps.
