rear end replacement
magos - September 14th, 2011 at 11:04 PM

next step in my restoration process is rebuilding the complete rear end. some one cut it off. i reckon he wanted to build a baja. I bought a rear apron and the left and right bumper mounts with some extra metal.

Now I need some measurements to get the angle right for example from the last guard mounting to the corner where the engine bay support metal connects to the rear firewall.

the more measurements the better. Or maybe someone has a guide or link??

Bolt the guards on will be a good start... it'll get you pretty close.

Hell... even having the engine lid on will help...

ok put the guards on but there is still plenty of play. even with the engine lid on you can move the end almost 5cm up or down and it still looks ok. my concern is that the rear apron will be to close to the engine.
